Four Aces already hold the foundations. The rest of the deck is laid out in eight face-up columns, and every card you need is visible. Beleaguered Castle turns this generous-looking start into a careful planning puzzle: there are no free cells, no draw pile and no hidden cards to rescue a blocked position.
In this Card Game Nook version, move one exposed card at a time. A tableau card can sit on any card exactly one rank higher, regardless of suit or color. An empty column accepts any single card. Foundations follow a different rule: build each suit upward from its Ace to its King. All 52 cards on those four piles completes the deal.
FreeCell players will recognize the importance of making room, but the usual temporary cells are absent. Your first empty column becomes valuable working space. Before moving a card, look at the card it uncovers and decide where that card could go next. Building a long descending run is not automatically helpful when you must dismantle it one card at a time.
Try freeing a shallow Two or Three rather than burying another low card. Keep an empty column available when possible, and avoid moving a useful landing card to a foundation too early. Undo lets you inspect a different continuation; New game starts a fresh shuffle. The goal is thoughtful rearrangement, not speed. No winning deal or completion time is promised.
